The World, sometimes The Universe, in the modern «Egyptian Tarot» — The Crown of the Magi.
In the center of this card there is always a circle, symbolizing, unlike the Wheel of Fortune (X), not eternal movement and the game of chance, but peace and harmonious perfection of the surrounding world. Even when it is called «Chaos», it does not mean disorder, but the original, perfect in its formlessness, state of the world. In the circle, the Earth with mountains and seas, forests and cities, crowned with the dome of the sky, was previously placed, then — a beautiful human figure dancing against the background of the sky. It was impossible to understand whether it was a woman or a man: often it was depicted with features of both.
This is an androgyne, the primary human being created by the Greek gods. It united a man and a woman. But the androgynes became proud, and Zeus cut each of them in half, so that from then on they are doomed to search for their half all their lives.
In his hand he holds a magic wand (sometimes two); the circle is often formed by a wreath or garlands of flowers. In the corners of the card there may be figures of a lion, an angel, a bull and an eagle (cf. the Wheel of Fortune), symbolizing the four Vedas, the four stages of knowledge in Buddhism, the four Gospels, the four elements...
True, in many new decks instead of an androgyne they simply depict a girl naked or in a white dress, but the meaning of the card does not change.
The World Card is a person who has found his other half, who has reached the highest stage of knowledge and harmony with the Universe. He is free. The journey is over. The soul has fulfilled its destiny.
Other names for this card: The Great One in the Night of Time, The Crown of the Magi.
SPIRITUAL EXPLANATION: The world is both a beginning and an end, for the creative dance that expresses the relationship between essence and form is endless. To regain awareness of mystical union, you begin a spiritual journey in everyday life, and it leads you back through the various areas of the Tree of Life to the source of Unity, Ein Sof Auru — the Infinite Light.
TARO MEANING: This card represents personal rewards and the fulfillment of all desires. It is a card of triumph, happiness and success. Drawing this card means that you can move forward with confidence. It also symbolizes personal freedom and the exploration of new horizons. On a personal level, although you feel happy and calm in your current situation, it may be the beginning of a new phase in your partnership.
REVERSED MEANING: You have not yet learned the lessons of life. You lack vision and have yet to taste the fruits of success. You are unwilling to explore new possibilities, and your fears may lead you into a state of lethargy or stagnation.
SELF-DEVELOPMENT DUCKS: Our world is as big and abundant as we can imagine. Our horizons need no boundaries. We are in this world to learn the lessons that life teaches us.
WORK: The world indicates that we have chosen the right occupation and are working exactly where we are supposed to be — or at least are on our way to it. This, of course, does not mean that we have nowhere else to develop. It only means that all the decisions we have made so far have been correct, and that we have found our true calling — at least at this stage of life. On an everyday level, this card signifies the joy of a job well done, sincerity and harmony in relationships with colleagues, and sometimes contacts with foreign colleagues or trips abroad.
CONSCIOUSNESS: The happy awareness that we have made a small but important step towards becoming a person, and have realized our calling and purpose. Having stopped perceiving our horoscope, or rather, its «problematic» elements, as the vile machinations of the villainous fate and having «remembered» that our life's task is to reconcile and harmonize these tense aspects in our inner and surrounding world, we will understand the true beauty of the World card. It shows how, from the initial Chaos of opposites and contradictions, gradually, step by step, an orderly Cosmos, purified of all filth, was formed.
PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: On a personal level, the World card indicates that our union with our partner is a true home for both of us, or, if we are still single, that very soon we will meet a person who will become our life partner. The union personified by this card is never a «holiday romance» — it is always something long-term, strong and truly deep connection or marriage that has played a major role in our lives.
Name in other languages: Il Mondo, Le Monde, The World, Die Krone.

Kabbalistic meaning of the Arcana: truth.
Occult meaning of the Arcana: chest.
Physical meaning of the Arcana: holiness at the highest level of the hierarchy.
Places: abroad; foreign country; world; sky; another dimension; space; universe; abolition of the space-time continuum; a place that gives internal stability.

The meaning of the World (Universe) card
Everything in your life has acquired its final, perfect form. You are confident in your calling and do what you must. Freed from illusions, you accepted the world as it is and found your only place in it.
This is again one of the best cards in the deck.
Firstly, it falls to people who have achieved harmony with their «I» and with the world around them, who have found their purpose and fulfill it with honor. This does not mean that it will always be like this, but at this stage they fully correspond to their cosmic role.
Secondly, it gives a favorable answer to almost any question, be it relationships between people, business or spiritual growth. You are fine, it says, you are acting correctly, continue this way and the result will exceed your wildest expectations.
Thirdly, like the genie from Arabian fairy tales, it promises a person the fulfillment of his most important, greatest and most important desire (here you need to make no mistake).
And even in an inverted form (a circle, it is always round) it means the same, except with some delay in time.
For businessmen, the forecast is also favorable in both cases.
You have learned the lessons necessary for this lifetime (or situation, if we are talking about worldly affairs). You have become who you are meant to be. You know all you need to know. You have achieved all you need to achieve. You can now turn your attention to other things, knowing that this task has been perfectly accomplished.
There is one caveat. At this level of accomplishment, there is neither the possibility nor the need for further development in this area. But someone who has achieved what you have achieved cannot simply sit back and do nothing. If you rest on your laurels instead of seeking out the next area of growth, the result will be stagnation, stagnation. The work is done, it is time to move on.
The World Tarot card is the last numbered card of the Major Arcana. In this sense, you are the true expert you have been trying to become throughout your journey. Your transformation, shown in the previous card, Judgement, is complete. You have achieved the perfect unity of body (matter), thought (intellect), soul (self-knowledge), and spirit (subconscious).
The World Tarot card symbolizes a complete understanding and mastery of your own inner nature and the forces around you. You know what is good and right in this world and are aware of its prescribed order. You can trust your judgment regarding actions in current circumstances. You have achieved the status of an expert.
There is no possibility of failure, because you no longer have the chance to make a false choice. Everything you do is right. And you have a right to everything you have. You know who and what you are. You know why you exist. You know the reasons for your existence. And all the answers serve as confirmation of your purpose. This is the reward for all your efforts.

Type of person in the upright position: a person who has surpassed all conceivable and inconceivable limits in his development; ideal and perfection in human incarnation; Initiate.
Type of person in the inverted position: a strong destructive personality; false prophet; a person tempting others to take the path of evil.
Psychological meaning of the World (Universe) arcana: your life has reached a perfect form. You have comprehended everything and, without doubting your purpose, you do what is required of you. You have freed yourself from illusions, accepted the world as it is, and found your own place in it. You have learned that everything that exists is love, that God does not divide people by skin color, gender, nationality, or origin. You have understood that everything is interconnected, and there, in Heaven, there is no division either. You have become a Human, you joyfully and boldly walk through life, spreading love, faith, and hope. And may your path be illuminated by God's mercy!
The World indicates a newfound unity, harmony and a happy ending to a certain course of events. The beauty of this card is difficult to convey in words without slipping into a saccharine description of another happy ending.
In the Hero's Journey, this is a happy ending, a newfound paradise, which in everyday life means achieving a goal. Sometimes, in rare cases, this can be the goal of a lifetime, but most often it means the next stage. In the area of external life, this means that we have finally found our place in it, the one that is intended for us and only us.
In internal life, this is the completion of the most important stage of development, the formation of our personality, the integrity of our self-awareness. At the event level, the World represents a happy period when we enjoy life from the heart. This card can also mean international connections or travel.
