Justice, sometimes also Justice, which is incorrect, because this card corresponds to another Aristotelian virtue, and justice is more of a sphere of social action than a quality, and besides, according to tradition, the card depicts not the goddess of justice Themis, but her daughter Dike, who personified the right court, that is, justice.

The card depicts a woman in a simple outfit, without jewelry; in one hand she holds a sword, in the other — scales: it is not for nothing that in the Egyptian Tarot this card is called the Balance and the Sword. To the right and left of her are columns, behind her is a curtain, like the Priestess, only not decorated in any way. Sometimes a crown is depicted on her head.

It confirms the discovery already made by the person who drew it: yes, everything in the world is exactly as he sees it now, everything turned out to be different from what it seemed before; but he himself turned out to be completely different from what he thought himself to be before. He who demands justice from the gods should not forget that the first bill will be presented to him. «For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged, and with what measure you mete, you will be measured,» said Jesus.

Other names of the arcana: Jurisprudence; Daughter of the Lord of Truth; Mistress of Balance.

SPIRITUAL EXPLANATION: In Eastern mysticism, the Justice Tarot card would be considered the path of karma — the path where an individual faces the consequences of his or her actions. Justice requires harmony, settlement and complete impartiality. On this path, the contemplative begins to discover the nature of the true, inner self, shedding the illusory aspects of outer appearances.

TARO MEANING: This card represents balance, fairness and impartial justice. Drawing this card means that fairness will prevail in your family or business life. This may well herald the advent of a new cycle of balance and harmony in your family or at work. You will receive what you rightfully deserve. In terms of personal relationships, you may have to evaluate your honesty with your partner in an emotional and sexual sense, as you will certainly expect the same sincerity in return.

REVELLED MEANING: You are suffering from injustice or loss, and are also entangled in legal complications. You have been betrayed because of prejudice. Someone you know feels uneasy, but cannot change the current course of events.

SELF-DEVELOPMENT LESSON: In response to the universal law of cause and effect, we all need to take full responsibility for our thoughts and actions. Sooner or later, you will feel the full force of their consequences — for good or for evil.

WORK: In this area, justice means that we must be very clear about what we are doing and why, in order to clearly decide how to behave further. Further, she says that we can count on a fair and benevolent attitude towards ourselves, but if we try to achieve our goals by deception or other dishonest means, then failure is guaranteed. Therefore, in business, she warns about the need to follow the rules of the game and pay the bills.

CONSCIOUSNESS: This card shows that a period of sorts of «sobering up» has come, a return to a purely business level. At such times, we usually try to sort out the accumulated problems, to form a clear and unbiased opinion about them. Here, everything is decided not by emotions and feelings, but by our logically thinking mind.

PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: The principle of justice and balance also plays a very important role here. But this is far from always harmony and rest — there is equality of forces among warring parties. In any case, there is one principle here — «what goes around comes around».

Names in other languages: La Giustizia, La Justice, The Justice, Die Gerechtigkeit.

Astrological correspondences: Libra and Capricorn, Venus and Saturn. Saturn in Aquarius as a desire for wisdom and independence.

Kabbalistic meaning of the Arcana: justice.

Occult meaning of the Arcana: field.

Physical meaning of the Arcana: jurisprudence.

Places: tribunal; court; notary's office; tax office, as well as institutions related to legal norms.

The Major Arcana Tarot Justice (Witches Tarot)

The inner meaning of the Justice card

Be honest with yourself: you already know that you will have to answer for everything. You yourself sought to know the truth — what to do if it deprived you of your last illusions? It hurts, of course, but do not despair. It is better to pull yourself together and accept the world as it is. But you should think more deeply about yourself: should you continue the life you have led until now? But first, settle your old debts...

And in the layout it means (direct) that the cosmic balance will be restored, and in the very near future. Whoever committed a bad deed will have to pay for it, and the victim will be rewarded. If the questioner suffered, then the card gives him a favorable forecast; if he himself violated the balance, he will be punished.

In the most ordinary sense, it can mean a lawsuit and its win for the questioner. If they ask whether it is worth filing a lawsuit, the direct Justice card says that it is: you will win.

In the inverted position, it means a violation of the cosmic balance. This can be a statement of fact (the questioner committed a bad deed) or a warning. In the ordinary sense — a deliberate loss of a lawsuit, a guilty verdict.

The meaning of the prediction of this card for a businessman is clear from the previous one.

Ideally, Justice is following the law against all odds, personal inclinations, or the vagaries of human law. If this card describes a situation, you will get what you deserve, the outcome will be absolutely fair and strictly legal. Remember, you are capable of making the right decision and should not allow anyone to convince you otherwise.

This is divine justice, in contrast to human justice, absolutely incorruptible and completely impartial. It is opposed to human justice, which is subject to influence, making it imperfect. True, divine justice cannot be subject to influence, personal preferences, or simply the limited ability of man to distinguish truth from lies. This is how it should be, this is how it will be, and no one can change it.

The scales of Justice are balanced, and Justice clearly sees what must be done. The sword in one hand and the scales in the other symbolize the dual nature of Justice: precision and severity.

At this stage of your spiritual development, this is the type of vision that is needed to learn as an initiate. To pass through this portal, you must learn to look at the world and yourself with an open mind, to see what is, not what you wanted or hoped to see, and to judge only what has actually been accomplished.

Combinations with other cards
Weakening
Strengthening
— 5 of swords: dishonesty, unrighteous deeds
— 3 of wands: unpredictability of actions
— 7 of swords: evasion of responsibility
— 2 of swords: avoidance of the truth, denial of one's involvement in to something
— Emperor: justice, settlement, adherence to the letter of the law
— Court: determination, recognition of one's wrongdoings and past mistakes

Type of person in the upright position: a person with a huge sense of justice; lawyer; member of the Constitutional Court; a person who relies only on facts.

Type of person in the inverted position: a person who manipulates Justice for selfish interests; corrupt official; biased judge.

Psychological meaning of the Arcana Justice (justice): every creature has the right to self-expression and development, to seek freedom and independence, and you are no exception. You just need to be honest with yourself, because you know that you are fully responsible for everything that happens in your life. You yourself sought to know the truth, do not blame me if it deprived you of your last illusions. This is very painful, but do not be discouraged. Pull yourself together and accept the world as it is. And in addition, think carefully: did you live correctly before? Maybe it's worth changing something? To make life more harmonious? But before you embark on a new path, pay off all your old debts so that they don't get in the way.

The Justice card includes several plots. These include clarity, objectivity of knowledge, and conscious, quite definite judgment, and incorruptibility, balance and honesty. The card claims that justice will definitely be restored. On an everyday level, this means that everything we do is reflected in the world around us, which responds to us with good for good, and evil for evil. If we act honestly and decently, we are rewarded, but if we use questionable means, then sooner or later we get what we deserve. Thus, this card assumes a high degree of responsibility of a person for his actions. It clearly shows that nothing is given for free, but there will be no obstacles in anything if we are ready to answer for everything we receive.

    • Timal says:

Возможно это может символизировать и то, что обладающий Силой может сам диктовать Законы. Т.е. то что для человека идет первым Сила или Закон зависит от него самого. Ведь просто так совпадений не бывает.
